Wow what a great weekend, Saturday was a bit rainy at first but eventually cleared to a bright afternoon.
We stayed over at “Gins farm” on the Beaulieu River, a different stop that we usually make at “Bucklers Hard”. Its run by the Royal Southampton Yacht Club, as a bit of a offshoot, outpost annex, but wasn’t as stuffy as we expected.
We tied up with our friends Steve & Anita from “Cest La Vie” on the mid river pontoon and dropped the dingy to head over to the clubhouse for dinner, however they said they had a rush on ha! ha! and the menu shrunk from 8 items to 3, still it wasn’t bad a few drinks softened the disappointment.
The next morning it was bright sunshine, and a 25-30knt breeze so we stoked back to Hamble with just the jenny out making 9.5 knots SOG!
