Well as you can imagine, not the best of English weather “par for the course”
We got away from work early on the Thursday before (my birthday) and made a run fro Newtown River to beat the Easter holiday rush, well so we thought, not so much as a rush but more of a crawl. We woke this morning to only find another few boats here, in fact no more than half a dozen in total, i guess everyone stayed at the marina?
Anyway, we took the opportunity of pumping up the new rib, fitting the new outboard and literally shot up Sharfleet creek to the New Inn pub in 10 mins flat. Compared to out inflatable keel and our 8hp, this one flies!!
Had a cracking lunch, whitebait, then liver & bacon washed down with a couple of pints of Doombar and back to the boat for a siesta!
Not a bad start regardless of the weather.
