ARC+ 2018 Day 6 Mindelo to St Lucia Leg

One thing about the atlantic that we’ve become accustomed to, is its complete unpredictability, today we have woken to 10 knot winds and relatively calm seas, the sea here is the bluest of blues and crystal clear and a balmy 26 degs, the air temperature has risen dramatically to 29 degs, shame there’s no islands here!

We’ve just devoured two pineapples that we bought in the Cape Verdes, that had we not eaten them would have wasted, they were so sweet and juicy, we’re still talking about them 2 hours later.

We’ve just gone through the ultimate Queen session followed now by Adele, previous days have seen, Bowie, Style Council, Pink Floyd and nearly every Cafe del Mar album made (essential listening on a boat) a rather eclectic mix, including a dash of Schubert and Mozart for good measure.

Weather forecast says we should have more wind, but as i write this, its dropped again, we’re barely making 4 knots, ordinarily we would have the motor on now, but we want to save our fuel as the last 3 days are forecast as windless. We’re not brave enough to forecast our exact ETA yet but currently between the 7-9 is looking good.
