ARC+ 2018 Day 5 Mindelo to St Lucia Leg

So overnight things have improved dramatically, not that they were that bad, but the wind has stabilised, and the waves have shrunk a bit, it still quite rolly so cooking a soufflé is still out of the question for the time being. The suns out and the temperature has gone up to 27 degs, although the wind chill drops it back down to about 23 degs, still its warm than blighty i suppose!

The wind has been a tad too strong to bring out the Parasailor, but I’m sure it will come into play as the winds die halfway through next week, in the meanwhile we have been flying goose winged (front sail poled out to the left, main sail to the right), that was until we broke it in two, so we got it back to the cockpit and my trusty supply of battery operated tools and supply of spares (for which i frequently get the Mickey taken) allowed us to fashion a more than adequate repair within a couple of hours and reuse it this morning!

I can seriously taste those rum punches already!
