There’s a couple of expressions we use in the UK when you try to tell someone how to do something that they have been doing for years, one might be “try not to teach your mother to suck eggs” and the other might be “do you think I got up with the fairies”. In the USA the most common one seems to be “this isn’t my first rodeo you know”.
Well on this occasion this was our first Rodeo, so last Saturday night we toddled off to the town of Davie just down the road from Fort Lauderdale, where they have a Rodeo at least once a month, sometimes more frequently.
Its all rather well organised and unlike Spanish Bull Fighting the Bulls, Horses and Steers, always seem to get the upper hand.
