At long last, after two months out we are back in the water.
We had extensive work done this time round, but namely the complete re-rig was top of the list, with the rudder and cutlass bearing, a close second and third.
The re-rigg consisted of all new spreader ends all new stays, bottle screws and something that wasn’t planned, a new Furlex furler!
While the mast was down, we took the opportunity to fit new LED spreader lights, CCTV cameras, a new VHF antenna as well as replacing the knackered wine vane/anemometer.
The LED spreader lights are a fantastic addition, so much so I’ve ordered another to replace the forward deck light too.
So then it really will look like weve had a close encounter!
